Day 1 In Resource 1

On Tuesday I spent about an hour and a half in a Resource 1 classroom. With it being my first day in that particular classroom, most of what I did was observation. I watched the teacher work with students in 4th and 5th grade with reading comprehension and mathematics. These students worked on comparing fractions using an interactive projection screen that was similar to a Smart board. They also worked the problems on small whiteboards. Then they used reading comprehension texts to read a story and answer questions about what they had read. I did get a chance to interact with a few of the students and help them to proofread their answers in their comprehension books.
